Dr. Melberg, the Medical Director and owner of Berkeley Animal Hospital, began his veterinary journey as an assistant at a specialty practice in Madison, Wisconsin. He earned both his BS and DVM from the University of Wisconsin before completing a rotating specialty and emergency internship in Denver. During his internship, Dr. Melberg developed a deep interest in urgent care and internal medicine.

In his general practice, Dr. Melberg focuses on dentistry and managing chronic diseases, always advocating for compassionate and effective animal care. Living in the community he serves, Dr. Melberg is excited to bring his expertise and passion to his neighbors and their pets. Outside the clinic, he enjoys hiking, road biking, skiing, and expanding his vinyl record collection.
